New Job = screwing around
Now that the job situation has stabilized somewhat, I can get back to the more important things in life, like finding ways to screw around at work. Here are some favourites, in no particular order:
- posting a Missing Link
- checking mls.ca for houses – I’m planning on buying some day
- finding good trivia on IMDB
- learning more about UNIX, since I’m getting paid for it
Notice how none of them is “posting to my blog”. We’ll that’s about to change, if I have anything to say about it. Since I’m too busy at home with SWG and relationshippy stuff, I rarely even think about feeding the cats, let alone post to my blog. At least now, I have some periods of slowness at work, and I can put some much needed attention into the old Movable Type.
Actually, if I get a chance, I’m thinking of doing an upgrade of my systems here at HQ. I’m looking at putting in a mySQL database backend, and the latest version of MT. Maybe even clean up the look of the site a bit … make it a little more presentable for when the parental units stop by.
